Is there an explanation, then, as to why women are not hired as much if they truly are paid less? Scrupulous businesses would likely go with the employment option that would affect their bottom line the least, correct? Wouldn't employing women, who are paid less, be just that?

Exactly, my dude - that’s something I’ve always thought confusing about that argument. Just hire all women if you’re able to pay them less, LOL

Again, what utter garbage. Please look at the actual data for gender pay when pay rates are adjusted for hours worked, job type, experience, job position etc. There is no gender pay gap.

If a substantial number of "men" would self-identify as "women" would that not help with reducing the gap?

It's just that they're pure social constructs, with infinite number of genders. #puke

When you compare like situations such as same experience level, education, marital status this gap simply vanishes. You think a male or female with a kid is equal? Female probably has the kid and less likely to work overtime than the male. #wagegap #FakeNewsMedia

$12 Trillion. By that logic, if we double everyone's pay, we can increase GDP it by $100 trillion. Hell. Why stop there. If we increase everyone's pay by a factor of 100, none of us will ever need to work again.

The gender pay gap is a myth. Women make different life choices than men by nature. How many times does this need to be debunked? Oh I remember, NYT is a propaganda rag..
