        I don’t understand. They want to do this in baseball too and it’s all because of replay length and frequency. How about quicker court exchanges between games, shorter breaks between sets, fewer replays and less commercials?

        how bout just watching athletes play at a top level and at the pace that allows them to provide the most entertainment. tennis had never been a pace-of-game problem. 5 hour sets are exhilarating and 5 hour baseball games are lame.

        This is the right way to go. There is a rhythm to the match. Players need to adapt, plan, respond, and execute quickly. In my experience, even at rec level, time should not be wasted between 1st and 2nd serves. Server's pace usually quicker = advantageous.
