My mother died in January from a cause that was never determined. It wasn’t until she had been starving (literally, 86lb last spring; 75lb in December) for a year that they admitted her and found she had a parasite and another opportunistic infection due to malnutrition.
-
She had to be on antibiotics, but she also had an autoimmune condition that they said would require immunosuppressants. That taught me Lyme isn’t the exception: doctors miss a lot, are not capable of figuring out many things. They should have tested her much sooner.
