Notably, there is a "lesson of History" in how the FULLY FUNCTIONAL, COST EFFICIENT and ENVIRONMENTALLY FRIENDLY old Los Angeles Railway (i.e, 20 streetcar lines&1250 trolleys) was "inexplicably" thrown away in a figurative dumpster fire by Oil & Gas/Automotive SPECIAL INTERESTS

It was such a preposterous idea to begin with. Didn't use a metrocard, no transfers, in an area with multiple transportation options. Buses would be just as effective. They should have gone with the Triboro RX plan, which uses existing infrastructure.

waste of money and space and cannot keep up with commuters anyway, love the idea of personal small electric cars that just zoom along without stopping all the time, I mean how hard is it?

Trains are way more efficient both in terms of saving space on roads and less energy used per person. One rail car can hold the average city block of stagnant traffic. Street cars are used to great effect in Europe.

I'm not talking about smoke belching locomotives. There are ones powered by overhead wires. Ideally powered from a renewable source.
