“Get a job,” one Chief Wahoo fan yelled, along with an expletive, at protesters at the Cleveland Indians' home opener. “Get a grip,” shouted another. One fan made whooping noises as she walked by.https://nyti.ms/2v1LEYM

Ripping off the band-aid all at once would have prevented this. If it's offensive enough to stop using next year, it's offensive enough to stop using it now. It's not up to white fans to determine if it's offensive. If Native Americans find it so, that's the last word.

Tensions don't "reignite" - - - white men get mad at losing their right to degrade non-whites.

Hey remember when the Broward County Sheriffs office failed to do their job and 17 people were murdered in Parkland? Whatever happened to that story?

We’re not offended because it doesn’t depict us. We’re simply defending people who are affected and simply pointing out the inherent racism of the logo. If the shoe were on the other foot how would we feel about it? That’s the real question. Think about it.
