This is so negative toward Hungary and Orban that it reminds me of @nytimes on Bibi and Israel. Flat out I don’t believe the @nytimes at all.https://twitter.com/nytimes/status/983117971462737921 …

actually, people like Orban who hate liberal democracy and have no respect for human rights are a threat to western civilization, not immigrants

So ignore all of the other stuff that goes with illiberalism and authoritarianism? BTW exactly how many immigrants does Hungary accept?

maybe they should try looking at western europe as an example, given the fact that western europe has been doing better at almost everything and has been supporting hungary financially for years through the EU

This is the unfortunate result of EU indecisiveness. When you cannot find a concrete solution to a problem the people can be satisfied with, they will willingly turn to demagogues with simplistic solutions, disregarding his other despotic policies.

If someone wins 2/3rd of the seats in a free election, you can’t crib about it but should accept it as the will of the Hungarian people. Democracy will not always give you results you like

So sorry. While I had little hope that Orban would lose, I had at least hoped that more people would shun his authoritarian party line.
