It is almost certainly another false flag attack that the rebels, not Assad, are responsible for, but the propaganda and pressure to use this new provocation (interesting timing so soon after Trump announced pull out, right?) as a fig leaf excuse to renew U.S. attacks is intense.

I try to avoid getting into conspiracy theories, but that seems right. Assad is not losing why would he do something out of desperation.
-
Whichever group was behind the attack, it would have been a "conspiracy" if 2 or more people were involved, but I know what you mean-- the unofficial explanations always get that label. I think you're right that it is crucial to look at the situation and motivations.

I can’t believe that we are allowing this to happen to innocents. We invaded Iraq off flawed intelligence stating Hussein had WMD’s. This isn’t flawed intelligence. These are dead children. How much death will it take? What is more noble or moral than saving innocent children?

Trump said he wants to pull out of Syria & their is a chemical attack. Assad had been warning of a chemical attack for last 2 months which was ignored. Military industrial complex & the oil companies don't want to pull out. Its all about money.
