Like pretty much everything else does these days: Trump opens his mouth, then the shit hits the fan and America has to deal with the fallout!

Trump is provoking China into a trade war, risking his own people, allies and the rest of the world. He is the #1 threat to world peace, openness, and civility, for which there will be massive innocent casualties if not stopped. #stoptrumpbully #notradewar

Trump is retaliating against China for decades massive tariffs on imported USA goods, currency manipulation & intellectual property theft. The Commerce Department report made clear that U.S. national security is at risk due to the decimation of our Aluminum & Steel industries.

I am with you on national security threat, I just don't know if there's concrete facts to substantiate. Assume this is true, there'r better way to resolve this, without shooting yourself, allies, and all the rest of the world. This only makes China look good.

You mean you don't know American-made goods are subject to massive tariffs going into China? Or that China has been stealing our I.P. for decades? Or that they have artificially suppressed the yuan? Trump's retaliation is pragmatic and long overdue. What's your better way?

Trade policies didn't cost us those jobs, corporate philosophy change to only caring about shareholder value combined with trickle down economics and unuions that had over-priced their labor caused it. Our companies sent those jobs overseas to lower labor costs/increase profits

My question is what happens if Trump pisses China off enough for them to call in their loans? We print money to pay it and the dollar crashes and we end up paying $50 for a loaf of bread?
