At Goldman Sachs's sprawling moneymaking machine in Britain, women are paid an average of 56% less than men. Men outearn women by around 52% at easyJet, the country's busiest discount airline.https://nyti.ms/2Jm6XHE

I wonder why these companies even hire men, if women are cheaper to hire? Could it be that the statistics in this article are misleading?

We have core fundamental aspects of our society that are egregiously unhealthy for all of us. The obsession for wealth is killing us. Moving Humanity forward is not about flogging the world to extract and hoard cash and strut around flashing fancy fashion in peacock pens.

A bit of context is needed. Airline employs pilots who are generally men. They earn more than a stewardess. Silly to compare. More women should train as pilots.

Again, you put ALL the men and ALL the women and you compare them That doesn't make any sense For example, it's obvious that pilots will earn more than stewardesses Its not sexist or anything Women can be pilots too But they're just arent Ffs

The silence on the differences in hours worked, experience, seniority etc in these stats is deafening. If women do the same work for so much less, why are companies going for the more expensive option.

Sucks!, Then women should at least get a discount on everyday living expenses... food, clothing, shelter, transportation, phone, internet, etc, etc, etc....
