Some stuff isn’t even worth addressing but if he cannot tell the difference between local news scripts and his propagandist ultimatums then he deserves everything he’s getting and more.

You're confusing scripted with prepared stories by journalists. Words being on paper is as far as that similarity goes. Intent and integrity of the contents is worlds apart

Maybe edited by an EDITOR, Maybe occasionally run by someone higher up. But NOT dictated, scripted or forced to read the exact same statement across multiple outlets. And NOT run multiple times.

FCC must stop Sinclair-Tribune merger, or it becomes a nationalized political tool of the administration and a danger to democracy. The mandated statement is corporate propaganda, and undermines excellent local news coverage that our anchors provide.

Non-Sinclair owned stations don't mandate politically biased scripts be read across every station they own, nationwide, by anchors who look and sound like they're hostages being forced to read a message by their captors. Sinclair can object all they want, but this is not normal.

So, all news people at Sinclair just says what their boss tells them to? And what to say comes from the boss’s boss and so-forth until what? ... until the president tells them what to say?

I do understand the difference between editorial oversight on local news stories and investigative pieces, and "from the central office" scripted op-ed pieces that EVERYONE is forced to air. One is actual journalism. The other is propaganda.

It is only when hundreds of people all over the country are saying the exact same thing pointing to one person directing the words that it is scary. Orwell comes to mind, Big Brother telling us what to know and think...... Creepy!
