You think that if you delete your account at FB then all your data disappears? All that happens when you #DeleteFacebook is that you become the only person that cannot access your data.

Has FB admitted their advertising dept worked w/Cambridge Analytica using that data to write anti-Hillary ads right up to election nite? Or are they still claiming they thought the data was destroyed?https://twitter.com/Kacheling/status/967935488748236800 …

BBC News - Sure Russia had a bot farm in St. Petersburg. It was nothing compared to the Facebook-Cambridge Analytica-Trump Campaign team in San Antonio. Facebook sent employees to that team to write fake news ads for Trump. If a member of Congress asks Zuck if he stands by the statement that they thought it was destroyed in 2015, and warns him that the committee can subpoena all of the Alamo Project participants, he's stuck with admitting to having lied, or commits perjury - his choice.

Shocker - my estimate is 100% of the people using facebook have had their data sold or ‘stolen’ or ‘mined’ by dozens of entities - many of whom have PAID Zuck for that access. They call us ‘product’ - product they do not pay for. Product they SELL. That is not our way in America.

The only way around it is making your own website that very likely won't go anywhere. For the most part if these websites didn't sell your data they wouldn't be able to operate unless each member paid them.

and guess what? Cambridge Analytica CEO was in Manila May 2015, 1 yr before PH elections in May 2016. Trump hired Cambridge Analytica in June 2016, following Duterte’s victory the month prior. Coincidence?

True, but users granted the Obama reelection campaign their personal data, and knew it could be used for political purposes. The user data obtained to aid the Trump campaign was under false pretenses. Also, Obama didn't use that data to spam the country with targeted fake news.

All the 2016 election Facebook data appears to be legally obtained. Permissions were granted at sign on. If a guilty party does exist it would be CA not trump. All this brouhaha is just sour grapes by never trumpers.

I never said it was ilegal. But how the data was used was repugnant, lacked integrity, and was intentionally used to create fake content intended to sow division. But it sounds like you're ok with that.
