I hope they get everything they want and then some. These teachers are barely making 30K a year working in oversized classrooms with textbooks from the 1970’s. That’s not an education system, that’s a joke and it shows in GDP of these states.

And yet these same teachers in West Virginia, Kentucky and Oklahoma will go right to the polls and vote the same Republicans who want to destroy them back in office. Why? Oh because Obama and Hillary

America continues to rank poorly vs. far more advanced countries academically...give these teachers the credit they deserve and focus on improving the education system! Our future needs it!

Working 2-3 jobs to make sends meet, leaves little time for their own families. Provide supplies they need & pay them well. What would we do w/o them?

Teachers buy classroom supplies from their own pocket, supplement lunch if child is w/o, act in child's best interest if parent unavailable, & teach! These highly educated people do a job few of us could do.

The republicans have depleted our public school system for decades while giving tax cuts to the richest assholes in America. They wanted to end teachers unions so they did it by weakening our school resources and opening incompetent private schools to siphon off attendance.

Just a question, did these red state teachers vote republican and for trump? If so, isn't this what they voted for? Or did they just think republican policies would affect "those people"? 🤔

ITS JUST OBSCENE - teachers should't have to work one, two or three additional jobs to support themselves and their families, while billionaires get tax cuts! Support the teachers! They deserve a living wage and MORE!
