that 2000/wk number is likely misleading. at the end of the previous quarter Musk said they were doing 1000/wk. if they could just sustain that rate without any increases at all they should have made more than 12000 cars this quarter. yet Musk says it's less than 10k.

I really wish @Tesla would embrace the "range extender" hybrid designs (read: onboard generator) so those of us for whom pure EVs aren't an option could enjoy a Tesla. :(

What? I drove my Model S from Oslo to Lisbon and back last summer. Teslas really don't have range issues.

You live in Europe which is comprised of small nations with proper infrastructure. Here in 'murica that is kind of frowned upon because eagles-n-guns-n-shit. 160 miles through back roads to a friend's house and 160 miles back with no superchargers on the way makes for a bad day.

I mean you might think Oslo to Lisbon is a long way, but it's just peanuts to how spread out the US is; that combined with our refusal to properly socialize infrastructure (or social services, public transit, etc.) is causing us to continue to rely on ICE vehicles.

It's a bit more than halfway across the continental US. But Supercharger infrastructure is rapidly improving. Especially now with the Model 3 coming out.

And adding an OBD app communicating to the vehicle over BLE can further enhance the user experience 👍
