        That’s not LDS doctrine. It was an opinion by a Church leader and it is wrong. That guy’s dead and so is that teaching.

        He was the founder of Mormonism and wrote the book, no? Just changing things along the way to remain somewhat in line with modern society, even if decades late sometimes? Where does the doctrine come from, actually?

        My bad... Joseph Smith and Brigham Young reasoned that black skin was a result of the Curse of Cain or the Curse of Ham. They used these Biblical curses to justify slavery. Young believed the curse made black people ineligible to vote, marry white people, or hold the priesthood.

        so- during Joseph Smith’s lifetime no reliable evidence has him denying any man the priesthood- started with Brigham Young/ but even he said they would eventually hold it. 2013 has nothing to do with it. Honestly you really don’t know what you’re talking about. Pls stop.
