        The amount of paper wasted on paper money each year is far worse than anything Bitcoin does. And the amount of energy used is multiple times larger as well

        Thanks for the clickbait tweet... As most of the article explains. The amount of energy Bitcoin consumes is dependent on how much energy miners are willing to spend on it. If it's not profitable then miners won't spend on it. The reward for mining a block is currently 12.5btc
