Parents in England will not be charged burial and cremation fees for children. The government will set up a fund to cover the costs.https://nyti.ms/2Gtfpqw

If the U.S. Govt tried this, you would no doubt have some corporate lobbyists calling it government overreach.

I’d be fine with that. Definitely better than being made to pay for a border wall, Pruitt’s travels or Carson’s dinner tables. This is the kind of thing taxes ought to be used for: to ease burden on people in need and in pain.

Our taxes are used to support illegal aliens. Build the wall and reduce the number of illegal aliens, suddenly there’s plenty of money to go around.

Great idea! A wall will keep our every single illegal immigrant for sure! Not a single one will get in. This will absolutely solve every immigration problem our country has! Also, I love sarcasm.

How cute. Meanwhile London just surpassed NYC murders for the first time ever because of their awesome immigration policy and now they’re fighting over recognizing repressive Sharia marriages and female genitalia mutilation 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

Yes but stats should be evaluated as a whole. NY has a pretty low rate in comparison to other US cities. The UK has a much lower rate that the US, so this makes the headline seem a bit exaggerated. http://www.baruch.cuny.edu/nycdata/public_safety/crime-selectcities.htm …

True, but your earlier analysis was filled with bigotry. Don’t use stats that you do not fully understand to base this on. You are making grand assumptions to make an egregious narrative.

I didn’t analyze anything. I’m stating 100% fact, which is that after allowing a massive flood of immigration, murders went up. You can judge yourself on how you interpret facts, and stop thinking virtue signaling wins arguments, thanks.

This is simply amazing! How wonderful government is to pick up this sad event. Let’s see, healthcare is taken care of for the people & now burial expenses for children. What the heck is the American government doing for their people??? Zero!!!

Here’s a novel idea - Why don’t we have the governments tax 100% and handle our affairs entirely? Since government spends tax dollars more efficiently anyhow.

by the same logic: why not have no tax and do it all privately, army, schooling, border control - the lot. Or do you realise now how such extremist arguments for the sake of it are childish and silly?

Defense, border control, and education benefit every citizen. There is no reason to add more to the government umbrella. Especially when there is insurance for things such as this.

Especially when there is insurance for things like these? Do you have any idea how many people can’t get insurance or even afford the polices, which by the way may not be that good? Yes, Government should provide & can provide at a lower price & better policy.

I’m acutely aware of child life insurance costs in addition to funeral costs. It works out to be roughly 10 cents a day or $37 annually for about $5k benefit. Child life insurance policies are far easier to secure.
