Bail is a $2 billion industry, and bondsmen have unusual powers over their clients. In many places, no one is keeping a close eye on them.https://nyti.ms/2J7VX0l

10 years as a criminal defense attorney I can say modern bail system employed in most states is designed to line the pockets of bondsmen and keep the poor incarcerated.

The bail bond industry along with private prisons exploit the poor and socially isolated. They promote laws that send too many nonviolent offenders to prison. Way too many Americans languish in prisons. Prison and bail bond reform now!

If you don’t do the crime you don’t need a bail bondsman...yes it’s that simple

You literally need the bond pre trial. Delete your account.

You are not required to use a Bail Bondsman, wait in jail until your arraignment, and trial, if necessary.

Maybe they shouldn’t get arrested, then. Or just stay in jail until their court date.
