An earlier tweet to an earlier version of this story was deleted. It should have clarified that Mr. Clark was shot "from behind or the side."https://nyti.ms/2pVQgts

He might have been running b/c he had to go to the bathroom, but he will not have a chance to say..i know a plenty of time I have been somewhere, I fly home b/c I have to go to the bathroom...he was going to the back way b/c he didn't have a key...

He ran b/c someone called the cops on him breaking car windows. That doesn't warrant a death sentence, though. The cops should have either immobilized or let him go. He was no immediate threat.

They didn't know, and they didn't ask either, they just started shooting, just like somebody said, shot fist, ask questions later...

There is a lot we don't know. But we do know he wasn't a threat and thus it was unjustified homicide aka murder.

17 seconds between time of contact (shouting "Hey") and a barrage of twenty bullets. Precisely zero calm, rational thoughts during that window. None. Training and tactics MUST BE COMPLETELY OVERHAULED.

All other options should be exhausted before a shot is ever fired. Time to let let local elected officials know we need change. This happend where I live

Yes, now please, NYT, go ahead and describe how “divided” and “polarized” we are by one side being against white supremacy and police killings of unarmed black men, and the other side that denies reality 🙄

Cop panicked and yelled gun. Cops should have backed up, they we're at corner of house and could have waited for backup if they were scared
