Not surprising, they had no real evidence against her. I dont know why a prosecutor would waste the Courts time with this.

There is a big difference between investigating and charging someone with a crime. If there wasn’t substantial evidence to convict her, what basis did the prosecution have to bring charges? If guilty, there would have been plenty of concrete evidence given they were married.
