It's telling indeed that conservatives' primary response to the Parkland students is to mock, bully, and try to silence them instead of actually debating the policies they are advocating...

They were called murders for supporting the second amendment. Wouldn’t you be a bit defensive if you were told the victims’ blood was on your hands just for a belief?
-
They were shot at, injured and murdered by gun violence with no signs of that changing. Wouldn't you be motivated to seek change if your life and the lives of your friends were brushed off by the very people who have the power to help you?
-
I want something that will lower the chance this happens as well, but attacking gun owners will not get the results either of us want. Gun rights are to conservatives as abortion is to liberals. Rational discussion is difficult and rare.
-
Why the NRA though? No one elected them to be God for 2A supporters. There are other groups who do not treasonously accept Russian oligarch money to buy our politicians. You'll probably say this is fake news. What will it take? Your message is being ruined by your leaders.

I feel for
@davidhogg111 because he probably is not really a hateful person. The media latched onto him when counselors should have instead. From my experience, none of us are rational while experiencing grief. -
Idk, after David and his classmates were shot at and some killed I think it's pretty rational (and extremely brave) for him to take on the gun lobby and try to make schools a safer place.
-
Exactly. Super tired of the disingenuous concern trolling that's just meant to delegitimize what these kids have to say.

Are we allowed to point out that David Hogg is bullying people into not criticizing him and that bullying seems to be a major motivator amongst school shooters?
-
she didn't criticize him. she attacked him on a personal level.
-
Meh, potato/radish. If the kid is going to inject himself into a national discussion, he needs to grow thicker skin.
-
funny. first you complained about him "bullying", and now when pointed out that she bullied him, he should grow a thicker skin? hypocrite!
-
I don't think you understand what "hypocrite" means - or possibly four or five other words you used.
-
so you left the constructive level, I see. did you run out of arguments?
-
Oh no, when you declare the other person a hypocrite for having an opinion different from your own, you basically admit defeat.
-
nope, just stating a mere fact.

What does Holy Week have to do with her apology? Is she saying that she wouldn't have apologized next week because it's not Holy Week?
#hypocrite -
She doesn't want to admit that she's terrified about losing her sponsors.

And a half-assed apology it was.
-
She didn't even delete the original tweet, last I checked.
-
She's infamous. The "boycott" and aftermath probably helped her brand
-
Didn't Bill O'Reilly operate on much the same logic? It works until it doesn't.
-
I never heard of her until the boycott. Just saying that people putting her name all over social media may not have had the intended effect.
-
That's.... how you spread the word about a boycott. There is literally no other way to do it. That's exactly how they got O'Reilly off the air.
