Great memories of Rusty growing up in Flushing. First exposure to Le Grande Orange was during a ‘71 trip w/ mom to Montreal’s Jarry Park Stadium. At 8, I recall his star power in the city, and when he joined the Mets in ‘72, I convinced my pals to sneak into Shea just to see him.
