Amazon is probably a boom for the USPS and probably the only thing that is keeping it afloat.

It is. They have a contract with Amazon to deliver packages on Sundays and certain holidays. So when I see a mail truck on Sunday, that's whats going on.

Yup. My mail guy has personally said he loves the overtime he's getting from Amazon deliveries.

I personally hated it delivering them on Sunday when I was a part timer. Being a full timer is great and I get my Sundays off now

Amazon is a great customer for the USPS, don't screw that up too

kind of. USPS has a legal monopoly on first class mail and they've got a pricing structure that wasn't designed to scale w/amazons prolific rise so it's a net loss unless they've re-negotiated rates in the past two years, which isn't something I've been able to find info on.

2 my knowledge there is no wiggle in the rates...the issue w/USPS is the way they have to fund retirement benefits...the line item I'd like to see is the cost with the packaging that Amazon utilizes from the USPS...

There's an enormous amount of wiggle room. My business only does about $100k postage a year and I'm paying about 60% retail rates. If you are doing enough volume where you can seperate by zip code (at least 500 packages/month) you can get it down to about 30%.

They locked in rates at a time when they were doing a fraction of current sales and the ability for USPS to keep up with them scaling is what's incurred a huge increase in overtime/overhead costs. But no private company can market under 1lb non-urgent rates so it's a quagmire.

Isn't the USPS, by definition, everyone's "delivery boy?"

Yes, Trump claims his tax evasion proves he's 'smart'. Of course, this wannabe dictator thinks rules apply only to others and not his magnificent self.

It's just a misunderstanding. Once Donald realizes that Amazon will still be able to ship his tanning products to whichever prison he ends up staying in, he'll ease up on his anger tweets.

Because he won’t release them. Like every other president in the last 30 years. Because everything he does is shady AF. If you think for one second that he’s done his taxes in any kind of ethical way then you’re a fool.
