A LONG history of racism in advertising, nothing new. The brand damage is always worse than the "creative upside".

So they try and be diverse by having a black individual in a commercial for light beer, then get accused of racism? Damn, can't win in this society! Lot's of Snowflakes!

Seriously? My son is reading a book called “the negro league” that is the name of the book. It is a children’s book. He struggled to write about it because of the word negro. And asked me if it was racist. I said no. It was the name of the book. Same here.

It’s BEER, for eff sake. Seriously, this “racism” card is being stretched so far its losing its effect. At MOST, it should simply be reworded to reflect the purpose; when it comes to BEER, sometimes lighter is better.

Damn this politically correct (and hypocrite) culture. Now everything is scrutinized ad nauseam. The truth is a black actress lost her opportunity to shine on a commercial.

This was so blatantly racist, I was shocked when I viewed it on the news!

I would love to hear a legitimate case that supports this ad as racist. Legitimate meaning real, clearly understandable facts that everyone can understand & identity. Proof.

Money has no race. It’s all green. It’s all businesses care about. I find it hard to believe any company would purposefully offend anyone intentionally to jeopardize their profits. It’s political correctness BS. People have no grasp of common sense.

Then you haven’t actually watched the ad. It’s blatant. It’s visual. It may have been done for newsworthiness but it’s wrong.

The one I saw (beer sliding by 3 poc to a light woman) was racist af and Heineken should fire their ad agency.

Light beer is just institutionalized fat shaming anyway, created by the patriarchy to oppress women. Or something.
