The traditional Cambodian hatred of the ethnic Vietnamese is "almost pathological." As a result, the ethnic Vietnamese live on the water — because they aren't able to live elsewhere.https://nyti.ms/2IaVk4J

Sometimes I think the NY Times should just change it’s name to US State Dept. It’s common knowledge that the relationship between Cambodia and the US is fraying—hence the negative piece. So predictable.https://www.phnompenhpost.com/national-politics/us-ambassador-says-cambodia-not-interested-positive-relationship-us …

So. Your theory is that because it’s fraying, we’ve decided to just destroy it? Makes no sense.

Not getting it,,, these two countries are right next to each other and Cambodia is doing ethnic cleansing on Vietnam,, I MEAN THEY ARE BROTHERS AND SISTERS,, THE LINE WASN'T THERE WHEN THE TWO COUNTRIES WERE AS ONE 🤔

The relationship between Cambodians and Vietnamese can be conpared to that of US/Cuba. Just because you are next to each other and use to have a symbiotic relationship doesn't mean it will always stay that way

How do you think global warming & rising oceans will effect them? Will they be ahead of the curve or simply pushed further into the fringes of society? Eventually, many people will find themselves residents of the rising waters.
