I came to see coments about this review and it's really awkward reading about hard topics like Yemen or Trump. I guess there is no zone in twitter to be without politics. We're not politics safe in the movie NYT section. Not even in a Spielberg movie review. Crap!

It's so out of place 😒🙄 There are plenty of places to comment on such topics, they're just being annoying bots I guess 🤷 And the comments about NYT having film reviews.. um duh, newspapers have always done film reviews. Do these people not remember good old newspapers 📰

I disagree. Robert Zemekis would have been a good plan B. I mean he only created and directed the greatest trilogy of all time! Yea...I said it! #BackToTheFuture #ReadyPlayerOne

Can kids enjoy this film? is it a thought-provoking one if the kid/s has/ve not seen any of the “nostalgic” themes...? Is it a stand alone masterpiece? (Side Question : did Spielberg make a stand-alone masterpiece..? Imagine not knowing SS & seeing the film

I found it to be a great film for kids. They might not get a lot of the references but the action and the plot will be great fun for them.

Why is the NYT putting out a story about a movie when "literally Hitler" is president and our only chance at survival lies in granting him the power to disarm every American?!?!

Cause newspapers have film reviews, they've had them for decades. Newspapers have sections, film reviews is one of the sections. Nothing new.

@readyplayerone was ok, seemed rush and a bit cheesy and childish, give it a 6.5/10.
