It's no wonder why Dowd stepped down. He knew this was coming. If they also get charged with State crimes there is no pardon. Is it possible that Dowd himself will be in jeopardy?

It's time to amend the Constitution to abolish or limit presidential pardon power. A president shouldn't be able to issue pardons in cases involving him.

He can. Pardon is absolute power of president. Even if a pardon was issued to obstruct justice, a president can't be held responsible for it. He can pardon any federal crime.

I’m not positive but I don’t think he can pardon someone to protect himself? I remember Jeremy Bash saying in presidential poker impeachment overtakes pardons? They could still be indicted and face grand jury without being able to plead the 5th Still congress is complicit😱
