It’s a very emotional experience at The Civil Rights Museum in Memphis. I remember filing past MLK’s untouched hotel room at the Lorraine Motel and seeing so many people silently weeping and wiping away the tears from their eyes. It’s something I’ve never forgotten & never will.

Every time I visit, I cry, once again, for my country, for what we gained, for what we've lost, for how much work we've done, for how much more we have to do. I mourn, I rejoice, and yet, I miss him. Thank you,
@NCRMuseum, for keeping his memory alive.Thanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo

The monument to Dr King should be in our spirits influencing our actions. Neither Blacks nor Whites are right to claim him now. He exceeded us all in his commitment to founding principle. After “The March” many who claim him today abandoned him; and made his last years miserable!

I visited the Museum when I was in Memphis a number of years ago. It was a very emotional experience. I wound up bawling my eyes out. Couldn't help myself.
