That headline is false. Spanish criminals run away so Spain requested their return.

If you are so worried about criminality in Spain start by demanding all cronies there to be brought to justice. Don't get so obsessed in locking up in jail Catalan peaceful legit elected MPs.

Puigdemont illegally declared the independence of a Part of Spain. He has to face justice for his actions.

The judges come in when legal offenses have been performed. Who put the judges to work was the government of Catalonia, and not Spain nor any european governement.

Legal offenses? Spain wants these politicians in prison because they made possible a referendum, like Scotland did years ago, simple as that. The main difference is that Spain is not England in terms of democracy.

Scotlan referendum was legal (and promoted by the central government). Here we are talking about illegal referendum followed by unilateral independence declaration (illegal, of course). Judges have to take over these offenses if they don't want to prevaricate.

Tell your expert that that is because in our democracy, when the laws are vulnerated, there is a separation of power between the executive branch and the judicial one. We do this for a very good purpose. Wtf nyt you know this!
