-
H&M is extremely affordable. Just hope you don't mind your fiancé wearing the same dress as at least 2 other people at work.

You mean fast fashion combined with online ordering that makes no sense is not a sustainable model? Who could've guessed?
-
why isn’t that working? just curious. does zara do a lot of online business? i buy a lot of clothes online but it sucks because most of the time they don’t fit and i’m too lazy to return them. i still like going in stores… if i ever decide to leave my place
-
Well we don't know yet if Zara and others also have an issue with unsold clothes. As for the online thing, H&M opened stores in the US but didn't offer online ordering for people in America. Granted that was fixed some years back, but still, an American can't order online from /1
-
their UK site or others. Meanwhile other retailers let you order from anywhere if they carry different merchandise in different countries.
-
thanks for replying! i bought their clothes many years ago. looked cool. but wasn’t impressed with the quality. you get what you pay for... as the saying goes

Start a charitable foundation whose mission is to clothe refugees, the destitute, the poor, both here and everywhere abroad. Problem solved.

Do you think Primark, Zara, ASOS et al have the same issue? Surely they can recycle?
-
It's tough to recycle cheap clothes that have a mixed fiber content. And anything with spandex in it can't be recycled (it melts in the machinery and ruins it). I volunteer at a textile recycling center and it's sad how much can't be recycled.

I can think of lots of countries whose citizens are victims of war, famine, flooding, fire, earthquake etc. and have been displaced and are living in basements, tents, refugee camps, etc. H & M could donate its merchandise and take a huge tax break. OR...just donate it!!!
