What would happen if a substantial number of U.S. Citizens left that portion blank?

The method they are using will gaurantee an accurate count will not happen. Census is a count of belly buttons, not a count of legal or naturalized citizens. Those without legal status will not particpate.

Sure...I suppose that would. Hence, why those without legal status will not complete the census and therefore, will not get deported. Oh look, we are back to the newly added question causing the count of residence(belly buttons) to be inaccurate. Funny how that happens.

        What's the concern?

That many people will choose not to fill in the census and that this will result in undercounting people who use services, less money for the states who are left still having to provide services etc.

Right. If they have to state legality in the country they’ll be targeted by the govt & possibly ICE & won’t complete it. Then the state won’t receive $ from getting the correct # of people using benefits.

So there is an obvious problem with the current state of things that need to be fixed. (Pst.. it's not the census)

        Exactly, leave the census alone.

If Republicans want to fall back on the Constitution when it comes to the 2nd Amendment, they also must equally follow the Constitution when it comes to the Census. You can't play it both ways.

So boys and girls the Federal Government is in debt and found a way to pay less in services to us. These people gave themselves a big tax break while cutting Medicare by $25 billion. Do you see a trend? 2)

Some US citizens have the right to vote ! Puerto Ricans don’t have the right to vote and they are US citizens! Plus the hundreds of thousands that are taken off voters lists in case they may vote for the wrong party
