Pilot didnt secure the cockpit, he didnt instruct passengers about how to release harnesses and seat belts in EL, and he didnt tell them to close the doors prior to Helicopter going into drink. He was so panicked never identified the fuel shut off was pulled and correct the prob

the passenger was in the front seat with the pilot, and scooted backward toward the pilot to get a better shot of his feet. immediately the pilot heard the warning in his headset but didn't realize what caused it at the time. the passenger's belt must've slipped onto the shutoff?
