Many Americans can buy a gun in less than an hour. In some countries, the process takes months.https://nyti.ms/2pJgf7J

So what? We also have a constitutional right, and they dont. So, really, whats your point?

No, no its not. Why do you claim a right is wrong? Maybe we should take away your right to free speech then

That right is wrong because it damages the citizens and favours only few ones. Compare guns and word freedom... only in America.

This is the dumbest thing I have read in two days about this issue and I have read quite a bit.

You are not going to believe this but... I was able to walk into a local hardware store, purchase & walk back out with a brand new hammer in under 5 minutes. No background check... nothing... How long are we going to allow this insanity to continue? Think about the children! 😢😭pic.twitter.com/XEE5gmaQO4

As soon as tens of thousands of people start dying every year in mass hammerings we'll talk about it.

Since when have we judged our laws by other countries? We are THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA! We are not to be compaired to other countries with a “why dont we do things like they do” mindset.

You are correct, but does that mean you should never change laws/rights? No matter how stupid they are? Times change you know.

It's a very slippery slope. We need to bring back mental health care facilities like we used to have. We have to enforce the current laws already on the books, not pass "feel good" legislation that won't work, either

Pleasantly surprised by your reply, maybe there is hope for the US after all! I was trying to trick you into saying yes, so that I could slam you with "some places it is your right to marry your 10yr old cousin! ;-)

Banning guns from people that want to protect themselves from criminals with guns is not a good idea. Criminals will always find ways to get guns, legally or illegally. Who ever said criminals care about laws?

This is an absurd argument. By your logic, if criminals don't care about laws, then why have any laws at all?
