Unarmed teenagers taking down the NRA & porn stars bringing down the president. What a time to be alive!

Silence sometimes speaks more loudly than words. She was brilliant!

So powerful. To go through something so tragic and turn it into activism. Today we witnessed history.

Those four and a half minutes were amazing. I don’t think anyone has ever before dared to stand silent before a mic that long on national tv. She was so strong. It was so uncomfortable. I hope everyone was uncomfortable.

I was right there at 4th and Penn. Such a brave young lady. At first we thought she was to choked up to continue. You could have heard a F**king pin drop. With 800k people.

the person who was supposed to protect these kids did not do his job but not one of them held him accountable :(
-
You and I were supposed to protect these kids, and we failed. More recently 2 kids were shot at Great Mills H.S. and one died. We failed the two innocent kids that got shot there as well. I hold us accountable. Zero kids are being shot in England right now, ZERO.
-
Ummm... who was supposed to protect these kids??? Us??? I'm not a deputy who didn't do their job
-
yes us, pass laws so people can't buy non hunting guns. The officer at the second school did his job, but two kids were STILL shot. Maybe you can live with only 2 kids being shot as a best case scenario? Again, England has ZERO kids being shot, because they don't sell guns.
-
Did I change your mind? Are you anti gun yet? That's how twitter convos work right? One person admits their wrong and promises to change their ways?

-
Ummm no you didn't change my mind one bit.but you may want to change yours...Didn't France have a shooting issue today even though their gun laws are so strict???

Her use of unexplained and sudden silence to make the crowd uncomfortable, uncertain, confused was brilliant. It replicated the anxiety the students must have felt when the shooting started. What's happening? What do I do? How will this end? This wasn't just speech, it was art.
