I could never be bothered with Facebook - maybe it's OK for self-obsessed people with time to burn? In contrast Twitter takes no time at all. But whichever way you look at it #SocialMedia is here to stay. And a very good thing too.

Fantastic piece. I hope others take the time to read it. Knee-jerk reactions rarely foster positive outcomes.

But not deleting Facebook doesn't put Google or Twitter ON the hook. A nonsensical argument.

Nonsense. Twitter's a billboard. Privacy on a billboard, now that's an oxymoron: you *want it public. FB, OTOH, creates illusion of privacy. Why peeps put much private info on it. I kept trying to clamp down FB's privacy settings only to be upended by new features and redesign.
