In one of Sweden's gender-free schools, a girl had gotten so loud that she drowned out the boys in the class. The girl’s parents were less than delighted. But the teachers considered this a success.https://nyti.ms/2IQDchE

Or...we could just let kids be. (There've always been loud girls - four in my family, alone.)

No. We must force little girls to make the choices we want them to make so they can learn to make their own choices. Or something.

I don't know what a "gender free" school is, but this is absolutely insane.

So in order to break gender stereotypes, they are training kids to assimilate stereotypes of the other gender? So this means they are working on the premise that there're certain common attributes in each gender and so gender is biological not a construct?

This is the stupidest thing I’ve ever heard;they’re reinforcing the cliche that boys are expected to be loud & brash; while girls were supposed to like dancing & knitting! So, now, they want to turn girls into boys, and boys into girls; where is the progress? Let kids be kids!!

Are there differences between the sexes? Yes. Should those similarities & differences be celebrated, not repressed? Yes.

it sounds like "the inmates have taken over the asylum" in sweden. do they think good results will happen if they encourage rude behavior in girls and teach boys to be wimps? i thought they didn't believe in genetics determining behavior in any way?
