And here we have a bunch of headline readers making comments without reading the article... it is suspected they died of a gas leak. What does that have to do with building a wall or opening the borders....pic.twitter.com/wp8jpxHSnd

Why anyone vacations in Mexico is beyond me. It's so dangerous in so many ways.

The wall will prevent carbon monoxide from entering the U.S.? That is pretty fucking amazing.

This goes down in the record books for the @nytimes burying the lede... Don't you understand the amount of racist fear-mongering that happens in the US about Mexico? And to write something like this without immediately clarifying that murder is not suspected? What the fuck?

It might be a good idea to pack your own carbon monoxide detector if you're going to stay in a hotel that doesn't have them.

The Mexican people are kind and they are devastated by this accident. Thousands of Americans like me retired here and feel very safe. Carbon monoxide poisoning happens everywhere. Don't blame this beautiful country.

So sad to read all ignorant people saying bad things of a country that they don’t even know... Water is clean, people is nice, beaches are amazing, México is a great place. Go, visit and know the places before you say that you can’t even drink the water there!
