        Back in the '80s n '90s I taught college computing and my intro always included the history. Students were wowed that the first programmer was a woman from the 1840's and Lord Byron's daughter at that. ADA programming language was named for her.

        There is a programming language named after Ms. Lovelace. I haven't worked in the Defense industry for many years, but Ada was what I programmed in.
