I can eat McDonalds everyday and lose weight. It’s not what you it, it how much you eat.

Being skinny is no guarantee of a healthy heart. Cardiovascular disease can affect persons of all weights. Eating McDonald's every day (not that you do) is unhealthy for everyone.http://www.nbcnews.com/id/26143255/ns/health-heart_health/t/being-skinny-no-guarantee-healthy-heart/ …

Govt + food industry are solely to blame! 80%+ of a supermarket is pre-packaged, fatty, sugary, chemical laden trash. Govt doesnt regulate, they allow the corps to lie on the nutrition info. Premade food is priced lower, real food isnt affordable to most. But its ppls fault?!

eating salads for every meal is actually really unhealthy.(failed sarcasm noted) you need well balanced food intake. which most people are too busy to bother cooking because cellphones and other BS > healthy habits. north americans are mainly LAZY and the corps prey upon this.

If you are lazy you are going to be fat. No amount of government labeling of food or whatever is going to fix that.

youre missing the glaring point i was making...sigh.. the narrow minded. Govt should be regulating corps to make their products healthy and not laden with all the shit they are. I dont have a prob with quick food - its great for lazy ppl. I have issue with the poison in them.

Many jobs don't let them have their breaks after 2 hours of work, or a place where they can walk/exercise, & a lunch in the middle of the day where they're not starving, but eat sensibly. Usually ppl get lunch way past lunchtime, (if at all), & then they overeat being famished.

Eat less, move more. And the "genetics" cop-out in the article is enabling nonsense. Nobody's body has the ability to create energy from nothing.

But seriously, I can never take these seriously when it’s based on BMI. I am “obese” my BMI standards. I can also run a 5k in under 30 minutes, do four sets of 25 push-ups, and can see my toes. BMI is a poor indicator of real obesity.

Not big fan of BMI, there are outliers for sure. For every runner/weightlifter, many many more are actually obese. What do you think would be a good, accessible indicator to use? I'd love to have my body fat measured but my primary care doctor doesn't offer that.
