The Austin bombings have stoked the raw racial, economic, political and geographical divisions that continue to shape life in the city, 90 years after it was segregated by decree.http://nyti.ms/2IKC2o7

Your article calling the bomber “rough around the edges” and “a quiet kid” doesn’t help that.

Are you kidding me with this fucking headline? You calling a white domestic terrorist a nerdy kid from a godly family vs you labeling black shooting victims as “no angel” is leading this fucking divide. I ended my @nytimes subscription yet you still pop up on my Twitter. Wtf.

Way to push your own hate by trying to make this about race. The 25 min video didn’t even show motive beyond potentially religion.. why don’t they say “he was a religious nut bag” instead of “he’s white, it MUST be racist”.. nobody wants to call out his beliefs as the problem.

Growing up in a sheltered, home-choked, Christian environment your whole life then being pushed into the real world where those beliefs aren’t held as logical.. your whole world is flipped upside down. If you turn from faith, you are outcast by the family & community. #MOTIVE

What are you talking about? I've lived here in Austin since 1974. It's a dynamic, ever-evolving place. My city is not reconizable in your article. You started with a premise and filtered everything through that premise.
