If your client is guilty and likes to lie you don’t want him questioned under oath. It’s called perjury.

Don't think so. 1. Trump doesn't have a choice. 2. Attorneys quitting under these circumstances are more likely because they aren't being paid or they don't want to end up arrested/disbarred.

        3. Attorneys also quit when they know their client is going to commit perjury when testifying.

Yes. I was more specific for the non-lawyer readers who may not realize that a lawyer would quit due to a client’s expected perjury.

Gotcha. I didn't read the article, just the headline, and it's a stupid headline. Dammit, now I may have to go skim the article.

I’m speculating about why Dowd quit. But it does appear Dowd had concerns about Trump giving a statement to Mueller. Concerns strong enough to have him resign from being Trump’s lawyer. Perjury plans perhaps?pic.twitter.com/qyFY4xHxjR

It is Trump. He lies. He lies under oath. Dowd took the job knowing this. Dowd quits because he is certain Trump will lie under oath? I'm thinking that Dowd is worried something much worse than lying under oath is going to occur. ?Sat Nite Massacre?

If he's not resigning because he can no longer represent a person so utterly guilty, it's not news. The only disagreement they should be having is whether or not Trump should turn himself in for his treason.

Is it so surprising that a President like Trump who wants to run his administration autocratically would also want to run his own legal defense? We all know the expression about someone who represents himself in front of a court.

So.. Trump's lawyer quits because he doesn't want Trump to testify? If @POTUS doesn't agree to testify will he ever have this stupid Russian thing behind him?? What's the crime here? Because collusion isn't a crime, but Trump still wants to be cleared.
