Blue passports were meant to be a symbol of post-Brexit Britain. They're coming — but they'll be coming from France.http://nyti.ms/2G3QHJh

HAHA!!!!!!!!! Oh, the beautiful irony. The whole Brexit mess is a gift that just keeps on giving + £350million a wk for the NHS!!! Classic!

NYT you're pathetic. When you put a contract out to tender you cannot and should not base it on the nationality of the firms but their value. Here the UK has saved the taxpayer £50m and already done a business deal with our continental neighbours. Going to highlight too?

Nothing surprises me. I'm a British ex-pat in Canada> about 10 years ago they closed the UK passport office in Canada, then passport renewals for those living outside the UK were processed in WASHINGTON DC. It was a total disaster & then had to go to UK. Do they never learn!

@fredmacaulay With all this Brexit confusion I’m beginning to think that this is just a cover.

nice spin but its to do with the central bank and not commodities, the Eu has been a disaster from the get go. Rich countries bailing out poor countries, again and again and again

A previous story said they wpuld be made in Amsterdam. This story alone needs its' own passport.

The company’s HQ is in Amsterdam. The factory making the UK passports is in France.
