Awesome, so as a female I can be embarrassed by the tampons, pads, and extra bra I carry in my backpack.

It’s sad that we girls/women think we should feel embarrassed about that stuff. 😕

This is putting band aids on holes in the hull of a sinking ship and completely misses the real problem - your gun laws. My children go to school safely in Australia. We don't have armed guards or teachers, or drills, etc. Instead we have sensible gun laws.

I was in elementary school in Cheyenne, WY when we went on lock down because of the shooting at Columbine (120 miles away). A few weeks later, my school implemented the same clear backpack rules. Didn't make me feel any more safe than before & it made the job of thieves easier.

America, the most educated people in the world but a lot of them don't have plain sense they have to wait for something to happen and then try to solve it later rather than before it happens. They waste time and money and not to mention the waste of lives in the process 😱!

Worthless. They’ll put the gun in a brown bag in the clear backpack. Or under their clothes. Or in a gym bag. Or in a music case. Just a worthless feel-good measure. “Look! We’re going something!”
