        When I was in the nyc public school system from '96-'08, we didn't have snow days, even if it snowed more than a foot

        School was closed for the blizzard of 96 as well as others after that. I guess you just have a bad memory

        That blizzard was in the beginning of 96, which isn't when I was talking about. But you're right, there were 2 more between then and 08, both of which were only a couple of inches. Meanwhile, I remember walking to school in high school with snow up to my knees (I was already 6'3)
