Bottom line for @BetsyDeVos is to allow parents (read WASP parents) to transfer their kids, and the $'s the public schools get for their kids' enrollment, to private schools thereby stripping public schools of much needed funds. #RacistIdiot

Destroying public schools in favor of privatization is a GOP goal.

It’s part of a systematic plan to break unions throughout the country. Private schools don’t have unions, pay teachers less, less healthcare, Teachers usually don’t even have to be certified to teach the subject they are teaching.

Betsy Devos needs #education & enlightenment. Her agenda is nothing but an attempt to keep underprivileged & underserved communites under-educated. Presenting a shiny school w/ minimal regulation and non-certified teachers does not educational parity make. That's not "choice."

Interesting enough they use the same technique as with tax and health care cuts and withhold information expecting bills to pass without being read or analyzed.

That 60 min interview showed us all we needed to know about this imbecile in charge of Education for Our United States. Solid proof; being rich doesn't make one smart. Tax them like IKE. They understood then, it works best. We've forgot it.pic.twitter.com/miEUJReRv9

Eisenhower was nicknamed Ike. Also passed the highest income and corporate taxes in US history. Got a booming economy as a result.

I'm sure her plan is to expand religious based charter schools in lieu of public education. Last year, Ron Johnson was confronted on charters. They are unable to even have a licensed nurse, and most "teachers" only have a 2-year certificate. They preach mandatory Bible classes.

Here in FL we had a child predator open a school! Because there is little to literally NO one to answer to. We’ve had hundreds of thousands of $$ wasted on BAD “private” “charter” schools! Including teachers with NO degrees! Or 1st year AA students teaching & running schools!

No this was Just last year! And then they went and opened a second one. And then that One got closed so they put it in someone else’s name and it is still operating. But because it’s a private school there is no oversight!

I was sure it was Florida. A married couple opened a charter & lived in a motorhome. They both took kids in there and molested them. Was many years ago, and never caught. Sickening.

Maybe I don’t recall that one but it wouldn’t surprise me. I was trying to find the article but pulled up dozens! I’m happy with my kids being in public school! What I’m not happy about is them taking $ for half assed “private” “charter” schools w/o oversight & my kids suffering!

DeVos could arguably be more destructive to the US than other department heads. This messes with our future.
