In Opinion Op-Ed contributor Sinan Antoon writes: "The invasion of Iraq is often spoken of in the United States as a 'blunder,' or even a 'colossal mistake.' It was a crime. Those who perpetrated it are still at large."http://nyti.ms/2FYvTmt

How many young Americans had to die for a lie. More horrific is the destruction done to Iraq. How many Iraqi children, women, and men were killed or maimed.

Yes, for example, legally elected, President Allende was illegally overthrown with U.S. government help. This allowed Pinochet to illegally take control and inflict a reign of terror torturing and killing innocents for the next two decades. Shameful!

And the thousands of young patriotic Americans killed for another lie (the Gulf of Tonkin involved Vietnamese fishing boats not gun boats -used as a pretext to slaughter millions of Vietnamese children, women and men.

Let me by clear to you, @nytimes: I read your paper every day in the run-up to the war and was very disappointed to see how you helped Bush/Cheney/Rumsfeld to spread their falsehoods & deceptions. You were part of it. Please also critically reflect on your role in this war crime.

Anybody paying attention then, knew it was a lie. Thats why we protested. We didnt want to kill a million Iraqis for oil and Halliburton. But that lie was not just pushed by Bush and fox news. It was pushed by @nytimes. And the @nytimes still tries to pander to Repubs today. Why?

        U. S. started war. Bush, Wolfowitz, Rumsfeld, Cheney should be tried in The Hague as war criminals. I do not say they should be convicted, not my job. But they should be tried.
