However, the firm’s employees, who often overlap, had contact in 2014 and 2015 with executives from Lukoil, the Russian oil giant. Lukoil was interested in how data was used to target American voters. http://nyti.ms/2ptrhhg pic.twitter.com/v2UH3UWp9B

And did they, with this, FORCE those people to vote for Trump; or did they, as voters and human beings with self-determination and inherent, inalienable freedom of choice, make up their own minds and vote for who they wanted, in this case, him?

If people are earnestly looking for information on a candidate, and the information available is either untrue, or skewed to their Facebook preferences, they're more likely to be swayed toward that particular candidate. This is why Gaslighting is so dangerously insidious.

I think people are more discerning than that. More discerning, decisive and informed, even in this era of constant disinformation&misinformation from every quarter, than you give them credit for. Anyone who completely believes everything a candidate says as Gospel truth is a fool

Douglas, you really should read some books on psychology. The human mind is easily manipulated. Those who think they can’t be manipulated are actually the most susceptible. It’s why successful con men make you believe you are smarter than they are.

Well, then, I guess we might as well just finally admit that we are not self-determining humans, capable of thought, feeling, action and taking action via our inherent right of freedom of choice; but rather at last admit that we are robots, tools, drones of the powers-that-be.

why I closed down my account over 3 years ago...Facebook sells their users information to anyone (using it, creating an account gives them permission to do so). It was creepy (to me) to go to a website then have my Facebook troll me for similar through advertising
