Black boys raised in America, even in the wealthiest families and living in some of the most well-to-do neighborhoods, still earn less in adulthood than white boys with similar backgrounds, according to a new studyhttp://nyti.ms/2tYvgrB

This is why you have you to work twice as hard. Don’t let up and keep pushing. Get more credentials and know your stuff better than the rest.

And you know what they will tell you: “I can’t afford to let you get that promotion, it will ruin my numbers to let you go now. Wait 6 months”. Meanwhile Johnny got the job and opportunity gone for you.

You got the skills, you get the experience. First chance you get go out there and sell it to the highest bidder. You are responsible for you. These companies gonna do them and you gotta do you.

Hard work is never acknowledged when you are a black male and that is the point of the article. The opportunities are not there compared to the white males counterparts.

I’m retired now. I worked 34 years. Promoted once because I was friends with the director. I have heard excuses from upper management. I once was told I couldn’t have a promotion for a job I was selected for unless I have a consensus of my peers.

I’m still in the game. I’ve see low level people switch companies and increase their salaries by 100%. I’ve seen folks get a new job and hit director when they couldn’t get it at the other company. It’s your choice. Ask for shit or go out there and get it.

I worked for 9 companies after finishing engineering school. Changing jobs is the only way to get more pay in America. Black males will never be given upward mobility by working hard for a company. I worked smart and played the game to my advantage

Let me put it into this perspective... a black man worked twice as hard to be president and still be criticized for dumbshit, while a white man can fall ass first into a presidency and get away with everything that would’ve gotten a black president impeached a wk in on the job.

What is the point of an article like this; Genuinely? Do you think this will be a moment of realisation, and for whom? This is just more of the same negative b.s. from American media. It's getting old.

Where is the responsibility from the country that has passed unfair policies, ignored and allowed wrongs to happen to the most vulnerable, and create a system that doesn't work for everyone? The country put a band-aid on a flesh wound and expected things to be fair but it failed.

All races use welfare. By country I mean all of us, by band aid I mean the civil rights act didn't fix everything and wrongs are still be in done.
