And what about the choice of everyone else who doesn't want to breathe smoke? Is it up to us to step around your choices? Perhaps I'd like to "freedom" to shit in your driveway.

Some of you on this thread would be surprised to know, Australia is a whole fucking continent and Austria is a country in Central Europe.

Remember all those bars and restaurant that went out of business when they banned indoor smoking? Neither do I. But any place that reverted to allowing smoking would definitely lose my business.

@SteveMartinToGo While acknowledging the mildly distasteful nature of this comment - and with apologies to the great Steve Martin - If Austria’s Far Right wants the freedom to smoke, I shall say “Sure! Mind if I fart in your faces?!” (SM/SNL)

The first time I went to Austria, this ban was not in effect. I thought I'd choke to death nearly everywhere I went because of so many chain smokers. There was a constant haze. Each ensuing visit has been MUCH more pleasant since the ban went into effect.

With deaths by lung cancer and respiratory diseases on a non-stopping rise ever since strong anti-tobacco laws were introduced (worldwide), guess some Austrians are just going back to an habit which, statistically, today, does not any longer hold as the "evil" we've been told..
