The decision has stunned almost everyone involved — doctors, restaurant and cafe owners, and smokers themselveshttp://nyti.ms/2IB6TDh

Sick. They do not have the right to foul the air of nonsmokers.

I agree, but on the other hand, why not let ppl smoke where they want, as long as there are non smoking places, everyone can choose... Adults should be able to do so.

I'm from Austria. We had the freedom to choose, while in other European countries they banned smoking. But as a non smoker it was really hard to not get in contact with smoke. In the majority of restaurants you have to go into the smoking area to get to the non smoking area.

Here in Oregon most ppl know second hand smoke is bad for ppl w/respiratory issues, etc. Public places are smoke free, with designated indoor places to smoke, Same for restaurants & bars, w/smoking areas always at least 10 feet away from public entrances.

Fine with me! Let's throw in the right to play Russian Roulette and bungee jump without a harness for Austria's far right, too.

The Trump nazi's really want to kill the US tourism industry to death for some reason.

“Don’t Smoke” campaign promoted a petition asking the government to think again. It gathered more than 500,000 signatures in the month that followed, in a country of about 8.8 mil. “We want to show the politicians responsible that the people are in favor of a ban on smoking.”

Business owners should be free to decide. There will be far more who choose not to allow it. Choice, liberty.

Well, they were always free to decide. Or do you think it was obligatory to smoke in bars? And guess what: far more choose to allow it.

A bid for freedom. People sick of others telling them what is harmful, while they allow terrorist into the country without thinking of the harm to everyone

We can't trust people with freedom. Just think of all of the things a free person might do. We can only trust that infallible government run by the same humans that can't be trusted to make decisions for themselves, can choose for everyone what is best.
