The hottest political advice for House Democratic candidates right now: “Don’t say you’re for Pelosi.” But Nancy Pelosi isn’t quitting.http://nyti.ms/2FS4DpE

Perhaps that is the problem that Dems need to fix. They let the GOP create a narrative, and instead of tackling said narrative head-on, they ran away from it, and continue to do so. I’ve yet to hear from a candidate WHY they are not for Pelosi. Quit tearing each other down.

There will be a vote when the new Congress has been sworn in. It is pointless to discuss who will run and who will win. Pelosi has been a strong leader who got the ACA, car company bailout, Dodd Frank, and stimulus package through Congress, maki g her the target of the GOP only!

Yes! Shocked at the continued narrative to shut Pelosi and Clinton, in particulate, up. They are experienced, educated, real leaders.

Yes we all love a shiny fresh face to amuse us (esp if it’s a man), BUT these are desperate times. We need every old experienced rep re-elected, so they can use every tool they’ve learned to IMPEACH Trump! No easy task. Dem’s are a wildly diverse party, unlike GOP white dudes.

This is perfect example of how so-called liberal media parrots GOP talking points. (+look at the photo). Like media did to H. Of course @ConorLambPA said that. Anyone in a +22% red district would. NP is a MASTER legislator who single-handedly delivered biggest D win in decades!

To move forward Dems need to leave behind the 'old ways', energize with fresh voices, stay centered and speak truth to power. Perez, Pelosi, Hilary are the past, keep them there.

Nope. While “fresh voices” are also desirable, we should quit trying to silence educated, experienced women. Democracy is an “old way”.

So you prefer democrats lose races specifically bc Pelosi is the leader of the party rather than have her sit her old useless rich ass down somewhere with her $30M. u'll rather have dems continue to lose seats than hurt Pelosi feelings. People like both of u are how we got Trump

A female in power who gets things done terrifies them, that’s why she is constantly attacked. The misogyny is real. Why do folks keep falling for these smear tactics?

Nancy Pelosi is a bogeyman on the right because of how effective she is. It would be a serious mistake to remove her, and most Congressional Democrats know that. I don't think she gives a fuck what Democrats in tough districts say as long as they win.

Researchers showed participants the fictional biographies of two senators, identical except gender. When described as “ambitious” and having “a strong will to power,” the man was more popular. But the same description about woman provoked “moral outrage.” https://www.theatlantic.com/magazine/archive/2018/04/the-nancy-pelosi-problem/554048/?utm_source=twb …

While I agree that the Dems badly need fresh new blood to draw voters, the way some are disrespecting their elders and predecessors is a shame. Even if you think time's up for Pelosi, Schumer, et al, that's no justification for ignoring decades of public service on their part.
